Activation Point

Your data plan will start as soon as you connect to local network. You can scan the QR code and install the eSIM in advance. 24 hours is counted as 1 day and counted continuously from the point of service activation.
 
Expiration Period

Purchased plan can be used within 180 days from purchase. Since it is one-time prepaid data plan, once it is activated, there is no auto-renewals or extra charges.

    I only bought the cheapest option even for topup, which luckily has good options for how many extra days I needed. I stayed for around 15 days but when I initially bought the eSIM there wasn’t any 14 or 15 day options, so I bought 10 days but was able to top up an extra 5 days for a good price.

    The net was a bit slow after using up the faster unlimited data, but even then, I was able to access blocked sites in China rather easily, watch instagran reels (with some slow loading from time to time) and upload stories and posts (a bit slow but it’ll do the job, just need to make sure the post or story is uploaded before closing your phone). I could even play my rpg game without many glitches, if any at all, which was actually a very pleasant surprise.

    However, if you want to watch intl tiktok, prepare for it to be very slow, or even impossible to access. This was the case with my tiktok in my last 5 days after my top up. I’m not entirely sure why I couldn’t even load any videos as everything else ran smoothly, but tiktok did load the slowest out of all my apps in China from the very beginning anyways. It could just be me tho.

    I’m not entirely sure how YouTube videos or other videos might fair, but I expect it to be very slow or impossible to watch if it’s HQ. Lower the quality and it might be fine. Honestly, I spent my days travelling and exploring so I didn’t need to worry about watching videos much, except to pass time on public transport maybe. But even then, I played my online mobile game which had even less loading issues than watching the videos.

    Messaging, voice chatting, and even video calling to overseas had no issues too.

    For such a cheap price compared to all the other options online, I’m definitely using it again even for other countries because the China one gave me a great experience. I highly recommend this to those who can use eSIMs on their phone and who only casually browses the net when overseas. I’m buying one for New Zealand soon actually. I understand there’s only a combined AUS and NZ one, but I’m sure it’ll work just fine for the price.
